Nothing appears to be preparing a Pro version of its flagship earbuds. The UK-based company has posted a teaser on its community forum showing Kingdra, a Water/Dragon-type Pokémon, drawn in its trademark dot-matrix style, Gadgets 360 reported.

The image carries the words "Coming Soon" and a line from the Pokémon's lore: "It sleeps deep on the ocean floor to build its energy. It is said to cause tornadoes as it wakes."

Why Kingdra points to the Ear (3) Pro

The post does not mention earbuds. But Nothing has used Pokémon names as internal codenames before, and in September a Reddit user reportedly found a temporary support page on Nothing's website for the "Nothing Ear (3) Pro", with the identifier 25253 and the codename Kingdra. The page was later removed, though screenshots and archived copies reportedly remain.

Nothing has not announced the Ear (3) Pro, its features, price or launch date.

What the current Ear (3) offers

The standard Nothing Ear (3), launched in September 2025, gives a sense of the starting point for a Pro model:

  • Real-time adaptive noise cancellation, claimed to block up to 45dB of noise.
  • 12mm dynamic drivers.
  • A "Super Mic" on the charging case, claimed to cancel noise up to 95dB, for recording voice notes.
  • Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC and latency under 120ms.
  • A 55mAh battery in each earbud, claimed to last up to 10 hours.

What next

The teaser follows a couple of Bluetooth speakers that Nothing's sub-brand CMF launched in select markets. Nothing has not said when it will reveal more.
