1. Who we are

Tark Samvad publishes news and articles at www.tarksamvad.com. This policy explains what personal data we handle when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. For any privacy question or request, contact us at abhinavtiwari2303@gmail.com.

2. The short version

• You don't need an account to read Tark Samvad, and we don't ask readers for personal details.
• We don't send newsletters or marketing emails.
• We never sell your personal data.
• We don't currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

3. What we collect and why

Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply and handle your request.

Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.

Your theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser's storage. It is never sent to us.

Staff accounts. Only our editors sign in, to publish articles. Their email addresses are stored by our login provider for that purpose.

Affiliate links. Some articles link to online shops. If you buy something after following one of those links, we may be paid a commission by the shop. It costs you nothing extra, it does not affect what we choose to recommend, and every article that carries such links says so at the top. Following one of these links takes you to the shop's own site, where the shop's privacy policy applies, not ours.

4. Who processes data for us

We use these service providers, which process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website (privacy policy)
• Google Firebase — our article database, image storage and editor sign-in (privacy information)

These providers may process data on servers outside India. We share personal data with others only if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep data

We keep emails only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Technical logs are kept for the periods set by the providers above.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for visitors in Europe, the GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent you have given, and to complain about how we handle it. To make a request, email abhinavtiwari2303@gmail.com. We will respond within the time the law requires.

7. Children

Tark Samvad is a general news site and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to publishing is limited to our editors. No method of storing or transmitting data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

For any concern about your personal data or this policy, contact our Grievance Officer at abhinavtiwari2303@gmail.com. We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
