Manipur polls: EC names 11 nodal officers, security to Kamei

The Election Commission has appointed 11 nodal officers for the 2027 Manipur Assembly elections, according to a notification from the state's Chief Electoral Officer.
IPS officer Kamei Angam Romanus will oversee law and order and security; IAS officer Hungyo Worshang will handle excise.
Polls are likely in February-March; EC officials visited Imphal last week to assess preparations in all 16 districts.
