Fadnavis open to higher Tummidihatti barrage, sets up joint panel

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis responded positively to Telangana's request to raise the Tummidihatti barrage to 152 metres, according to Telangana's CMO.
A 2016 agreement between the states set the height at 148 metres.
Fadnavis proposed a joint committee of both irrigation departments to study feasibility, submergence and compensation.
