A Pune sessions court has sentenced a 45-year-old man to seven years' rigorous imprisonment for trying to kill his wife with capsules containing pieces of a blade.
Doctors removed a blade piece from her stomach in November 2023; police recovered capsules and blade pieces from the man's home.
The court acquitted him of separate charges of assault and insult for lack of evidence.
