Conway out of first ODI against India after training collision

The New Zealand opener has a concussion after colliding with Matt Henry at Eden Park; Tim Seifert is set to replace him on Wednesday

Devon Conway has been ruled out of Wednesday's first ODI against India in Auckland with a concussion, New Zealand Cricket said.

He collided with fast bowler Matt Henry while both went for a catch at training; Henry appears fine.

Captain Mitchell Santner said Tim Seifert, the squad's back-up batter, would be a direct swap.
