SCR gives 1,800 track patrolmen GPS trackers with SOS button
The devices let supervisors follow patrols in real time and give staff walking the tracks a way to call for help.

South Central Railway has issued 1,800 GPS trackers to patrolmen and trackmen in its Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Nanded divisions.
Supervisors can see each patrolman's location live and are alerted if one strays from the set route.
Each device has three alert buttons and an SOS button, and stores movement data for six months.
