MP acts against 392 civic officials after AI checks flag purchase irregularities

Madhya Pradesh has taken or is taking action against 392 municipal officials, including 135 chief municipal officers, over alleged financial irregularities.
Seven have been dismissed so far, and about ₹3–4 crore has been recovered, Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Dubey said.
The department uses AI to compare the prices different civic bodies pay for the same items.
