Delhi tries cloud seeding again as AQI heads for 'severe'

Two quiet trials near IGI Airport produced no rain, government sources say, a year after a ₹1-crore IIT Kanpur attempt also failed.

The Delhi government has carried out two cloud-seeding trials near IGI Airport in the past 15 days, PTI reported citing sources.

Neither trial produced rainfall, Business Today reported, and more attempts are likely after Diwali and Chhath.

Delhi's average AQI was 369 at 4 p.m. on Thursday, with forecasts of 'severe' air from Friday.
