How the main businesses did
- Bajaj Finance, the lending arm, grew net total income 23% to ₹15,974 crore. It booked 13.5 million new loans in the quarter, up from 12.2 million, and set aside ₹2,166 crore for loan losses and provisions, against ₹2,080 crore a year earlier, Business Standard reported.
- Bajaj General Insurance saw profit fall 18.8% to ₹420 crore, from ₹517 crore. Its combined ratio, the share of premium spent on claims and costs, rose to 104.5% from 102.3% because of higher natural-catastrophe claims and health losses. Gross written premium grew 10% to ₹7,056 crore.
- Bajaj Life Insurance earned ₹55 crore, up from ₹13 crore, on a 22.8% rise in gross written premium to ₹10,277 crore.
- Group assets under management grew 26.5% to about ₹5.85 lakh crore as of September 30, Business Standard reported.
How this compares
The growth is a clear step up from a year ago. In the same quarter of 2025-26, Bajaj Finserv's consolidated profit rose just 8%, to ₹2,244 crore from ₹2,087 crore, Business Standard reported at the time.
The shares have not kept pace. Bajaj Finserv was down about 16% so far this year, against a 9.3% fall in the Nifty 50, Zee Business reported.
